Description

This professional weather station is a high quality weather system able to read, process and display data from three outdoor sensors either through connected wire or by wireless 433MHz frequency signal. All the weather information is simultaneously displayed on the large user-friendly LCD for up to the minute weather. An included PC interface also allows you to track the information through your computer.
The local meteorologist has nothing on this highly sensitive professional weather station from The Weather Channel. Recording up to 175 sets of weather data, the station assesses current, previous, and anticipated weather conditions both inside and out using a Swiss precision sensor. Radio-controlled by the national atomic clock, the weather station updates the date and time regularly for precision. The optional PC interface allows users to upload information onto the computer for continual up-to-date monitoring.

The sleek weather station mounts on a wall or stands alone on a tabletop and illuminates weather and time information on a LCD-lit screen. Users can display the time of day in military time or in 12-hour format. An alarm is provided while a perpetual calendar tracks annual dates of importance. The station measures indoor temperatures ranging from +32 to +140 degrees F. For outdoor conditions, a thermo-hygro sensor monitors temperatures, ranging from -21.8 to +157.2 degrees F, and humidity ranging from 1 to 99 percent. Based on this sensor’s barometric pressure readings, ranging from 8.83 inHg to 32.45 inHg, the monitor displays a predicative tendency arrow and visually forecasts weather shifts with simple icons. For precipitation, The Weather Channel supplies a rain sensor to record rainfall measurements by the hour, day, or historically, while a wind sensor analyzes wind chill, speed, and direction. The system communicates information at a 433MHz frequency for up to 330 feet. Up to three additional outdoor sensors can be utilized with this system. For PC use, a PC RS232 Serial Port Cable and the Heavy Weather Pro Software CD-Rom are enclosed. Five separately purchased AA batteries enable wireless capacity to run the whole system, though an included 120v 60Hz AC power adapter also can be accessed for the monitor. The weather station monitor measures 8-9/10 by 6 by 1-1/4 inches. This item weighs .6 pounds upon shipping. –Jessica Reuling
