The pump comes with a spigot attachment that works with both 1″ and 1-1/4″ hoses. The float switch on this unit ensures that the pump will automatically shut off when the water level drops below the pump to keep the pump from running dry and ensure the pump doesn’t get damaged from running dry. The debris cage on the bottom of the unit keeps the pump from becoming clogged.
