A .5 joule battery fence energizer kit designed for folks that are new to using an electric fence. All of the parts and pieces necessary are included except for the fencing material and a 12 volt deep cycle battery. Works with electric netting, multi-strand or single strand temporary or semi-permanent portable fences. Includes the energizer, 3′ galvanized ground rod, 12 volt leads and wiring harness and 5-light wireless fence tester. Can be mounted either inside or outside of a building or on the modified ground rod that comes with the kit, but must be protected from direct rainfall or flooding. The energizer must be mounted vertically. Low impedance energizer. Low impedance have pulses that are very short (in time) but higher in energy. NOTE: BATTERY IS NOT INCLUDED. You will need to purchase a 12 volt deep cycle battery locally. 2 year warranty on energizer.
Kit includes HotShock 5 Energizer (.5 joule), 12v leads and wiring harness, 3 ft. galvanized ground rod and 5-light wireless fence tester. Great for folks new to electric fencing.
Should power 1 mile of 3 strand cattle fence, 1/2 mile of a 5 – 7 strand sheep fence, 6 of the 164′ rolls of sheep/goat nets or 3 of the 164′ poultry nets. Distance depends on grass/weed load on the fence.
With the HotShock 5 energizer a 12v 100 ampere hour, deep cycle battery will last approximately 54 days* on a clean or a weedy fence. (*Assumes battery being drawn down to 40% between recharges.)
