Description

50 foot roll of Premier Feral Hog Net is 24 inches tall with 10 horizontal strands and plastic vertical struts ever 12 inches. The bottom horizontal strand is neutral and rests on the soil/grass. Lowest live strand is only 4 inches above it. The next 6 live wires are only 2 inches apart to prevent the hogs from poking their snouts under or through the electric netting before receiving a shock. Posts are woven into the net every 12.5 ft. and are .5 inch diameter. Posts have 6 inch steel spikes at the bottom to insert into soil. The fence can be easily changed to a Pos/Neg system if the soil becomes dry or is sandy. Black and white contrasting color is as visible to hogs at night as possible. Important to perform routine vegetation maintenance to minimize grass/weed load on the fence and reduce energy drain. FENCE MUST BE PROPERLY ENERGIZED TO BE EFFECTIVE. Energizer is not included. Recommend approximately .25 joule of energizer per roll of fence. Use only low or wide impedance intermittent pulse energizers. Warning! Do NOT use continuous current energizers with electric netting. (Fi-Shock brand energizers which are sold as low impedance, continuous current output should NOT be used with electric nettng.) For optimum results, we recommend using a Premier Solar or AC/DC energizer that fits your specific needs. Fence needs to be energized to at least 3000 volts at the end of the fence furthest from the fence charger or energizer. Multiple rolls of netting may be connected together. Non-conductive support posts are recommended at ends, corners or major curves, such as the Premier 24 inch FiberTuff posts (Item 208056) found on Amazon.
