Description

Vortex Part Fill Valves are high flow float valves for use in rainwater harvesting tanks where the purpose of the float valve is to automatically maintain a low level of water in the tank during periods of low rain. This allows the services fed by the tank to continue while leaving capacity in the tank for refilling by the next rain. The Valve is installed through the side wall of the tank. it should be mounted above the safety overflow to prevent back flow. As the tank empties, the weighted float travels down the cord and sits on the bottom stop which opens the valve. As water enters the tank, the float lifts off the bottom stop, causing the valve to close. The float can rise further up the cord as rainwater fills the tank higher, with no harm to the valve. Available in 3 sizes : 1.25″ , 1.50″, and 2″
