Now, CRL/Somaca has improved the VE4 Automatic Edger. One push of the button starts all machine functions. Another button automatically adjusts conveyor width for all glass thicknesses from 1/8″ to 1″ (3 to 25 mm). Conveyor height is only 29-1/2″ (749 mm) for easy handling of heavy glass. All machine functions on the VE4 are now operated by a PLC control interface. At-a-glance the operator can read spindle amperage, conveyor load, and conveyor speed. To simplify wheel changeovers when necessary, the spindles and all adjustments are located in front of the machine. Digital position readouts a teach spindle allow the operator to quickly set-up for the next production order without guesswork.Capacity: Accepts glass thickness from 1/8″ to 1″ from a minimum size of 4″ x 4″, or 2″ strips over 12″ long.Maximum glass weight 1200 Lbs.
