Description
TEKTON Deadblow Hammers reduce the post-strike rebound that is common with other hammers and mallets, allowing for better controlled hits to the workpiece. Unlike lead or other common fill material, steel shot inside the head of the dead blow hammer flows smoothly without sticking or clumping and won’t degrade over time. The all-steel construction is jacketed with a thick, hot cast polyurethane that’s highly resistant to chipping, cracking, and tearing, but soft enough to avoid marring delicate work surfaces. Ideal for driving punches or chisels, shaping sheet metal, and more, the striking faces are made of 4140 Chromium-Molybdenum steel, hardened to HRC 52.
