This Bare Ground Ice Melt is designed to spread over icy or snow-covered surfaces. It is 30-40% less corrosive than typical fast-acting ice melt. Coated with magnesium chloride and a corn-derived corrosion inhibitor, this de-icer works faster and longer than typical ice melt. Its runoff is also less harmful to infrastructure, plants and pets than typical ice melt. One 12-lb. jug provides 250 sq. ft. coverage. This ice melt works at temperatures as low as -10° and is compatible with spreaders.
